Man accused of robbery

DURHAM – Deshon Jamal Ballentine, 26, of Leon Street, was arrested Nov. 24 and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was in the Durham County Jail Tuesday under a $500,000 bond.

In other crime:

- More than $18,000 worth of property was reported stolen Saturday from a residence in the 2800 block of Angier Avenue. The property includes two power generators, two push lawn mowers, eight chrome wheels with tires, aluminum wheels with tires, carpentry tools and cookware, worth a total of $18,700.

- Jameel Cross, 28, of Deep Forest Drive, was arrested Nov. 23 and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon and resisting a public officer. He was in the Durham County Jail Tuesday under a $40,000 bond.

- Jasper Ernest McNeill, 31, of Newberry Lane, was arrested Monday and charged with felony possession of cocaine.

- A dog was reported stolen Nov. 27 from a house in the 1600 block of East Geer Street. The pit bull/terrier mix was valued at $200.

- Someone stole a wheelchair worth $2,193 from a house Thursday in the 2800 block of Ashe Street. Also taken was a $100 lawn mower.
